VOTED THE BEST JEEP ACCESSORY SHOP IN TAMPA BAY

- By my Mom

About 10 years ago I bought my first Jeep Wrangler. I always thought Jeeps were cool, but never had one. I bought it pre-owned - it already had a 3 inch lift and aftermarket Rockstar rims. I just thought it looked super tough and badass, I traded in my (paid off) Mercedes Benz for it.

At the time, I knew nothing about the Jeep "culture" (Jeep wave, meet-up's, etc...) or about the Jeep community in general. I just thought Jeep Wranglers were cool.

As a non-Jeep owner, I'm not even sure if I noticed that most owners named them, or how customized people made them, or how many companies made aftermarket parts and accessories to build them out. I didn't realize how personal each Jeep build/theme was to their owners.

I found out quickly and instantly fell in love - with all of it.

My background is in marketing and graphic design. At the time, I owned a marketing and website agency.

The Jeep was white with black trim, so being an avid Star Wars fan the name came easily to me.... "STORMTROOPER"

Many years before this, I saw a friend create and cut some decals on a vinyl cutter. I thought it was really cool, so it just stuck with me. Since then, I always wanted to cut graphics with a vinyl cutter, but didn't really have a reason for it besides just for fun.

Now that I wanted to create custom graphics for my Jeep, I finally had a reason. I decided to buy a 30 inch plotter and cut & install my Jeep graphics myself. I learned the software and operation of the cutter quickly and applied the graphics to my Jeep. It looked amazing.

Once I was done, the vinyl cutter just sat there in the corner of my bonus room.

Since I didn't want the machine to be sitting in the way or just collecting dust, I decided to open a shop on Etsy. My only intention was to possibly get the vinyl cutter paid for, since maybe there were others out there that wanted to name their Jeeps.

I could not have guessed how many there actually were - and I never expected what happened next...

With each decal I designed and posted, the Etsy shop exploded with growth. within 4 months, I was averaging 10 decal orders a week. All Jeep Names, Hood decals and other Jeep graphics.

I was running my agency all day, and cutting and layering vinyl graphics until 2am.

My upstairs bonus room looked like a sign shop exploded, but I loved it. It was the merging of the things I loved the most in life: Designing in Photoshop, being creative and Jeeps,

If I was going to continue, I needed a larger space. Somewhere I could have more space to work, vinyl tables and storage for larger vinyl rolls that I was buying in bulk.

I went back to the landlord that I previously rented office space from for my marketing company and asked them to show me any available office space.

The second place they showed me - and our current location - was perfect, and I signed the lease that week.

Since it was more space than I needed for the vinyl graphics business, I decided to also sell and install aftermarket vehicle lighting. (Underglow, Rock Lights, Wheel rings, Interior Lighting, Light Bars, Light Pods, etc....)

spent the next few months signing on with vendors to sell their products and building out the shop.

June 1, 2023 is when my lease officially started even though I got the keys early to do work in the unit. I would say that July 2023 was our first official full month open.

For about 6 months it was strictly vinyl graphics and lighting, but as more and more Jeep clients were requesting other aftermarket parts, I ended up signing up with many other major brands to sell & install their products too.

Within a year, I was connected to multiple distribution companies and was selling and installing pretty much every major brand of aftermarket accessories for Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators. Most of them delivering the orders to my shop the very next day.

That's how Iconic Jeep was born. Basically, a love and hobby that evolved into something amazing.

Iconic Jeep wasn't originally opened to be a business - It is the result of a passion run wild and a hobby that got out of control.
